At a Congressional Hearing on January 9, 2009 Robert Rangel and Robert Reich expose the truth behind the Obama's administration's real goals. They dont want to help ALL Americans, just the Americans they wish to help. It is class warfare and Social Engineering at its best. If the media was not bought and paid for by the far left maybe we could have a real discussion about their policies. What is equally scary is their total distrust in the Federal System. They have no time for State Legislatures because they might not rubber stamp their decisions. America deserves better than this.

I believe you just passed your course in creative writing with an "A!" The class warfare and Social Engineering you reference seemed acceptable to you when the Republicans were doing it but with Democrats? No way in hell!
We've had class warfare as long as I've been around but that's only 70 years so perhaps there was a time without it. Obama certainly is not originating this process. We'll just have to hope that the working class where most Americans reside, are the planned beneficiaries of the current battles in this struggle. It has tilted to industry and the wealthy long enough for one stretch. But their time will come again.
Charles is a bit more reasonable with his rhetoric but still comes close to a total condemnation before Obama has done anything. And don't worry, the Republicans can still filibuster any effort of the Democrats and force its demise. The radical Right has had a strangle hold on this nation for some time but it is weakening.
It will be interesting a few years hence when we examine the prophets of doom and their prognostications for the Obama administration and see just how reality stacks up to the fear the right has tried to implant in our collective consciousness!
When and in what talk did Obama state those things in that manner? In other words, context makes a difference. I've not heard such a statement from him. But I guess, that I need to ask just who is "they?" Some of the jobs he is talking about will be skilled of necessity. And he does want them to be living wage jobs which we definitely need.
My only question, is can he create those three million jobs? I don't care what level of job they are, they are bound to help the entire labor market. When there are no jobs for professionals, they take semi skilled jobs that others might have so any large number of jobs is going to help, in my humble opinion. I hope for sure that he is successful in this but time is the test.
I have a real problem believing that "white male construction workers" statement. It sound like a myth someone made up to promote their own agenda, not Obama's! Those jobs, if created, will go to whoever can fill them in the opinion of the company hiring, for the least money, as they always do. But let's see the jobs before we worry about it too much.
When and in what context? Context makes a world of difference but even without that what I said holds, any jobs created will help all. Give the administration a chance before condemning it. I did that with Bush, as I sure was afraid of him. But I believe that every new president deserves to fail or succeed on his own. I never dreamed how badly Bush would fail but he did it on his own! Never will for get his words in the one debate, "I don't believe in nation building!"
