Presidential Oath Readministered

This is what concerns me about our system today. Rather than accepting that an election has taken place and that in a public forum an oath was administered to which a man professed the desire to do the job he was elected to do, we concentrate on whether the exact wording of the oath was followed. I'll bet God is not as stringent with the Lord's prayer!

The first oath was flubbed and the second one was done without a Bible. Truthfully, in my opinion, the second one is the one that doesn't count because it was done without a Bible. The spirit of the oath is what's important, so the one with the Bible is the one that counts. Either way, the man is still President of the United States.

Unless Michelle buys a new dress they can report on, the media will hack at this for a few days. I sure hope this is not a sign of things to come though; even George W. Bush didn't mess up this early on and you don't always get a redo with some things. As I have said, I just hope this guy is ready to get to work because we have got ourselves into a real pickle here. My 401K is depressing and I've been trying to sell my house for two years now so I can move.
