20 Weeks Pregnant!

I am officially halfway through this pregnancy! I still maintain that it is FLYING by! I'm feeling pretty good. Still tired but other than that doing well. We seem to have a very active baby. :)

I think our biggest news is that we've decided on names! If this little one should be a boy, his name will be Kai Liam. Kai is pronounced like sky without the s and is Hawaiian. It means ocean.

If the baby is a girl, her name will be Patience Jane. Jane after Jane Austen, one of my favorite authors.

I'm getting really excited for June, all though I feel like this baby might come early. I've never had that feeling before but I'm going to be prepared for anytime in May. Still, I can't wait to meet our little baby and find out the sex and cuddle that tiny newborn and smell that sweet baby smell... It won't be long now!

Well, I'm into the 189th week of my 2nd wife's last pregnancy! That means she wants me to take her to the DMV to get her permit next week! Yikes!

189 weeks. Wow! That went by quick!

I'm gonna be riding in a car with my youngest daughter before I know it!

Enjoy the pregnancy. Enjoy the early years. And, good God don't rush them through all the years in between birth and driving!

WOW!! Four of my favourite Gatherers are pregnant! You, Krystal, Jill and Lina, and there may be more. My cousin's also pregnant, due next month, and another cousin had a baby boy a month ago. So awsome! All the new babies are great, and I LOVE the names you picked.

My pregnant cousin is married to a man named Ky (pronounced the same as your Kai). For a while nobody I knew was pregnant, but now so many of my friends and a couple of my relatives are pregnant. it's wonderful!

Tiredness in pregnancy, in my experience, is interesting. During some pregnancies the mom is always exhausted and in others, full of energy. And it's not a matter of anemia, number of pregnancies, gender of the yet-to-be-born, or any other identifiable factor.

So are you keeping the sex a suprize for yourself? lol. :) I like to see other people around my due date, lol. I'm 21 weeks today with ANOTHER boy, and i'm due june 3, and having a planned c-section, so i'll have him the last week of may, 3 weeks before my first born boy turns ONE... lol. (june 17, 2008) Atleast you dont have hyperemesis.... it sucks, lol. but its well worth it :)

And I getcha with the active baby, this one is VERY active, more than Bryan was last year... it took 15 mins to figure out the sex cuz he kept on doing flips!! lol.

I like your choice of names. And you picked both for a boy and a girl, so if you have either one, you're set. I could not get my first husband to do that to save my life. I named all my boys in the hospital after we were born, because the first husband only wanted girls, and the second wasn't there.

I think you look awesome! And I love the names you've chosen. I'll be 19 weeks on Friday, and that's also the day that we find out if our little one is a boy or girl (as long as the baby cooperates and spreads his/her legs! LOL). Mine's due June 19 as you know, but I will have mine early. My son was 8 days early and 9 pounds. They said if he'd been born on his due date, he would have been over 10 pounds. So if I have anything to say about it, this one will be early too. No sense pushing out a moose if I can avoid it! LOL

Hi Lacey - first of all I'd like to tell you that I have always adored the name Liam and that would be a top choice if we had another boy. The name Kai is also really awesome and Kai Liam sounds beautiful. Your girl name is very pretty as well.

Second - I love that baby smell!!! I hope we can meet in person one of these days so I can hold your baby... aww, newborns. Almost makes me want to have another one.

My pregnancy has been going by super past as well. I now have only 7 weeks before he is due and well I have had a feeling that he is going to be early also, or maybe that is me just hoping so! He is such an active lil guy he keeps me up all night sometimes, that is his favorite time to be up!
