I see us all scattered out in Nature,
everyone to his or her own sit-spot,
just sitting, breathing, observing, being
for a while.
Then the bell - a gentle old temple bell with wooden clapper,
no loud invasiveness to it,
no domination -
just a reminder,
an inner call.
The bell.
We remember then, it's time for Circle,
and we come together to pass the Talking Stick.
The stick goes round the group several times, hand-to-hand,
speaking - or silence - to speaking.
Then it feels complete,
and the stick goes one more round for words of honoring and gratitude.
Then we rise together, joining hands,
and sing a simple song four times,
a song to send out healing love and encouragement to the planet-mother
and all beings:
"Beautiful planet, joy divine -
Beautiful planet, yours and mine."
This is the school of theology I hold in my heart-of-hearts.
It's an ancient concept:
we just humble ourselves, quiet ourselves,
and let THEO
teach
the
OLOGY.
NOTE: For more of THEO's OLOGY as seen through Carolion's experiences, visit COCCOONIVERSITY

Among the ancients, almost any discourse on the gods might qualify as theology. For Plato, theologia was the domain of poets. For Aristotle, the work of “theologians” needed to be contrasted with the work of philosophers like himself, although at one point he appears to identify theology with the “first” philosophy that is today labeled “metaphysics.”
I'll be using EFT to work through grief today.
Sandy, I'm facilitating a connetion between Divine Mother in Cat form and your kitty. My old cat BJ, a master healer now on the other side, is facilitating.

Thank You
Today I've been thinking of Agape.
We're always in nature. If I go over to Central Square in beautiful Cambridge Mass, I can see many many people and some dogs and a few cats, and if it's really early in the AM & I'm lucky I might see a little rat-person. Plus pigeons. Ok that's not exactly the Amazon but it's still nature.
Next: what if the bell were really loud? Like an alarm clock going off in the morning? Does that really change anything?
Now about that circle & the talking stick. Aren't we always carrying the talking stick around with us? Every time we invite another person to speak, and really listen to them -- we're passing the stick. You don't actually need a physical stick of wood to make this kind of magic work.
Finally, the simple song.I spent some time in India and my spiritual practices reflect this, so a few times a week I sing these little bhajans (devotional hyms) that kind of spontaneously float up into my consciousness. But surely everyone does this? The first bhajans I heard in this life were sung to me by my grandmother, who was a Christian from Tennessee. They were in English instead of Sanskrit, but I don't her songs were really any differant than mine.
So I think everthing in your beautiful poem is available to us, right now, in our daily lives. We just have to open up to it.
Gerry - well, yeah, you ARE Theo/Deo, and also adored. Adoramus Te. See, you got your answer in spades thanks to Ann & Debra.
Richard - hey there! Good to see your little birds. Now you read Al's bit above, and then you're all set. Al's right. Especially for those who already know they're All-That-Is inside themselves, or for those wiling to try out that thought.
Al - others who feel best with a sangha or group participation of some sort, or those who are born for some form of ritual, may not "need" the Talking Stick or the Circle, but perhaps their hearts desire these things, and will open more freely when these things are in place for them, eh?
JustMe, that word, Agape - that sort of groupmind transparent-to-own-divinity word.....Thanks for bringing it into the conversation.
Becky - There are lots of circles doing these kinds of things now - Lol - one of my fondest wishes is to get word one of these days that there's a Talking Stick making the rounds in a Cabinet meeting. Maybe that will happen when we finally get our Dept. of Peace.
I am featuring it in Labyrinth , it is wonderful. I send blessings.
And
For something completely different (Think: the Big Guffaw - instead of the Big Bang), check out Barack Obama's Inauguration Was Painful To Me by Ron W. (c:*
This is FEATURED in PROPHETIC PULSE ~ A Paradigm Shift"
Thank you for bringing this over to us as well.

It's just that thinking of the ol' proctoscope and all that rigamarole - seeing how Ron just took it and ran with it - ran the gauntlet and then made it funny - WOW!
Now I ring my singing bowl and perform the mouth trick of caressing the waves of tones with the sound box of my undulating mouth and heart.
oh the language is a hindrance to gender equality...
DE-O! Da-DE-O! Banana boat's come, an' me wanna go AUM!
Theo-del-o-Deo!
the image, for me, of a clock where human spirits form the place setting--where numbers
might otherwise be--and giving a certain unspoken rhythm (an illusion of time passing?) to the voices and spiritual content eminating from the circle
