Morning guys and galls!
While we wait for Michelle's decision for week #10 challenge winners, here's a new one for you:
Write a short story inspired by the song (melodic lines, lyrics, whatever tickles your imagination) The Cranberries - Dreams AND following the subsequent set of rules:
- Word limit: 1000 words
- Main character: Jessie, a single 30 year old woman
- Secondary character: Chris, Jessie's best friend and was-to-be husband
- No deadline yet, we'll see how this goes
- Enter Dancing Fingers - Week #11 - Challenge in the title of your story, or Dancing Fingers - Week #11 - Non-Challenge if you wish to write only for the fun of it and not to compete.
Here's the video of the song. Please do not mind the introductory ~15 seconds, this was the video with the highest audio quality I could find on youTube
For your convenience I have copied the lyrics. Here they are:
"Oh my life is changing everyday
in every possible way
And oh my dreams
it's never quite as it seems
Never quite as it seems
I know I felt like this before
But now I'm feeling it even more
Because it came from you
Then I open up and see
The person falling here is me
A different way to be
I want more, impossible to ignore
Impossible to ignore
And they'll come true
impossible not to do
Impossible not to do
And now I tell you openly
You have my heart so don't hurt me
You’re what I couldn't find
A totally amazing mind
So understanding and so kind
You're everything to me
Oh my life is changing everyday
In every possible way
And oh my dreams
it's never quite as it seems
'cause you're a dream to me
Dream to me"
Have fun!
