Well I guess I would fall in the category of racist by some because I don't like Obama, I've made it no secret, but the reason i don't like Obama is not because of his race, IDGARA about the color of his skin, I DO GARA about the fact that I think he's a liar and not right to run the country, and if that makes me a racist so be it

After listening to Obama people, followers and black preachers that attended his gala event.. I think the racism is on that side of the fense. I take offense to Rev. racist Wright comments and the old geezer black preacher that thought he was cute by the racist poem that he read...

I think he is one of the most honest people ever. I have supported him since the beginning. I think he showed that he is smart, and can take a joke, and that he isn't going to take any crap, even his pastor. Reverend Wright is a jerk. Period. Obama finally realized that and separated himself. I think that he stood up to the Republicans and all the crap that McCain was saying about him. The Americans saw that for what it was - crap - and voted against his old "Bush politics." I saw hope in everyones faces today. I am proud to be an American. I wasn't very proud during Bush's years. I think that he is going to do a great job.

Kimberly, you're absolutely right. I had quite a discussion with e-friends of all matters of faith and ethnicity on another forum, and I was surprised to discover that the people keeping African-Americans down the most were prominent African-American leaders. It doesn't take brilliance to know that if you continually tell anyone that he/she cannot succeed (for whatever reason), that becomes reality. That's what abusive spouses do to women in lousy marriages. I know. I experienced that. Having someone tell you for 5 years that you are fat, dumb and ugly makes you start to belive it. If you are told in your entire lifetime that you cannot succeed because people won't let you because of your skin color, you have to believe that. On the other hand, if you encourage and offer hope, people strive and thrive.

I was surprised at the messages being told in churches across our land to people of color. And in that same forum, my friends were astonished that white churches very rarely mention color, and if they do, it's to remind everyone that to God color does not matter and we are to love and befriend everyone. They assumed since their pastors were telling them that the rich white man wanted to keep them down that our own pastors were preaching about doing that as well.
