There is no doubt in my mind those of you in the north will laugh at the snow event we had, but wanted to show it anyway. It may be the sum total of our snow experience for the year.

I've been in front of the TV most of the day.
lovely photos ,Lynn..
hunker down under your blankets,honey!
with Geronimo..
;)
Wilma, I did have fun. It didn't last more than an hour, but for that hour it was exciting.
Sheila, I will. Hope you stay warm on the way to and from work today.
The entire place is falling apart outside. With us running all the time Donald to his appointments and me to mine. When we are home. So much to do.
Our snow looked a lot like yours . Came after dark and lasted not long after daylight the next day.
Jax, lol, it's gone now. It didn't stay past noon. And this is enough for me. Freezing rain, yikes. I hope you didn't have to get out in it.
Thank you, Magi. Maybe by next Christmas I'll actually try to do that.
Marilyn, I'm glad you have not been besieged as Wilma and so many others have. Looking at their photos just about froze me into place. My husband works 8 miles south of our home. I called him this morning to ask him did he see the snow. He must have made it to work before it really started snowing like this and that's why I ran out to take these photos. He didn't see it. Those 8 miles meant all the difference.
Great shot of the cardinal...I got a couple of shots in the last couple of days of cardinals coming round to my feeder, but they didn't turn out very good.
Thanks Sue. That sounds more like us (the driving to see snow I mean). At least the cardinal was agreeable to a couple of pictures.
Patti M., I think the red cardinal emphasized the snow too, and the snow did fall gently, but some of the flakes were as large as half dollar coins. Huge flakes and so pretty.
Thanks Priscilla P.
Elsie, I do hope Gloria doesn't have to go back. Can't one of the nurses take out the stitches?
Norma, we go back Thursday. So I still have tomorrow.
Jax, ouch. Not good driving in freezing rain. Glad you are home and in a warm place now.
Thank you, Brian L. Hope you are having a good night.
Sassy Cat, your "dusting" may very well be our blizzard for this year. LOL. I figured it would not be very impressive to anyone who lives north of us.
Yep, Norma, it was down, but I'm back in business tonight. And I did send you an email. So look.
Bundy, No fair, you're from the south too. I guess this would be a blizzard in New Orleans. When we lived there it would get cold, but don't think we ever saw snow. I'm actually enjoying your Project 365 group. Glad I asked you about it.
I am tired after being up most of the night with my problems. {health} Going on to bed. Have a good day tomorrow, I will be gone.
Sleep well. I hope you begin to feel better.
Have a great gather day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Animal Glitter
lovely photos, indeed!
debra g., I always love seeing the puppy dogs.
Curt, would you look at a bowl for me? I'll send you an email. You may not be back.
I just dropped by to see if William had remembered his words of wisdom. I could use a few of those words myself.
Rose, we've had some days and nights here that made me want to go sit on the equator, but nothing like those north of us have gone through. I think our lowest temp was 12*. And that was brutal.
No problem, Wilma. I bet you've got more snow than this in one window sill. LOL. But it was exciting while it lasted.
And how is the job market down there? Matt and I are looking at MAYBE moving south one of these days.

Thank you very much, Jen D. I do love hugs.

Necee, yes a blizzard for you and me. LOL. I think for our northern friends though it does look like a splattering of confectioner's sugar. But it was fun no matter how it is perceived.
Jim, He probably was wondering, after all, he is a TN cardinal, and none of us sees much of that stuff.
Magi, love your new icon. I like your idea about the post cards. I most of the time draw cards for peoples birthdays, Christmas, holidays, whatever. A nice photo could expand my range. Thanks.
Bob, now I must tell you one thing. Your snowfalls are probably much heavier than ours. That would cause more trouble for you to get a good photo. Maybe in a lighter snowfall you will get excellent results. I suspect density and bird stillness had a lot to do with it. I got lucky on both. But it would be so nice to be able to get their eyes and faces better.
William, tell Andrew Zimmern to "come on down".

I'm glad someone helped you with the dishes and getting ready. Takes some of the stress out of getting ready and going.
We have blue jays here, but I would like to see a blue bird like the ones people post here on Gather from time to time. They seem so pretty.
Necee, lol, our "blizzard" lasted from early morning one day til noon the next day and the streets were clear except odd spots such as overpasses that first morning for just a little while.
Thank you Shaunee and Barbary. We do love watching the cardinals. There are several this year.
William, Marge and Wilma are sturdier than I. No lounging in the snow here. No shoveling. No raking roofs. Next time we have snow maybe I'll wrap it up in a box and ship it to them.
JoAnn, as far as I'm concerned, this is the only way to have a blizzard.
Ellie, did you get that snow, or did you miss it? I've thought about you off and on and remembered how tired of it you are. One thing is for certain. You'll have the great winter storm to remember in old age and have something to talk about.
Paula C., Now that is really a problem. 9 days is a long time. We missed that thank goodness, but sorry to hear your daughter's family didn't. Well, it won't be long now before Spring is here. Surely we've gotten past the worst of it. I hope so. Your daughter will always get colder weather or snow when we don't here. Guess it's the elevation factor. Hope they stay warm.
Love the cardinals!
