1. Remember God owns everything.

2. Think ahead and avoid problems.

3. Keep good records.

4. Get educated.

Let me add my twists:
1. We are simply stewards of what God asks us to take care of
2. Don’t pay stupid tax – think before you buy, and wait at least one day (for big purchase)
3. Read the contract before you sign
4. There is no substitute for having more facts than your opponent
