Dreamsicle In A Cup | |

Does anyone remember Dreamsicles? Those wonderful frozen confections of rich vanilla ice cream surrounded by an orange Popsicle coating? I’m not talking about 50/50 bars but the real Dreamsicle that was so smooth and sweet on the tongue and taste buds, summer just was not complete without them.
Here is a new version I call Dreamsicle in a Cup and for those of us who are diet conscious it can be made with sugar free, non fat and low fat products as well. | |

2/3 cup boiling water 1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Orange Gelatin 1 cup Cottage Cheese 1 tub (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened 2 cups COOL WHIP, thawed
Additional Equipment: Blender Large Bowl Rubber Spatula Whisk Dessert cups (I use 9 oz clear solo cups) |

STIR boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 min. until completely dissolved. | Cool 5 min.; pour cottage cheese and about half of the cooled jello into blender, blend until smooth. |

|
|
Add remaining jello and cream cheese cut into chunks; blend well. | Pour into large bowl. |

|
|
Gently stir in whipped topping. | Stir into prepared cup or bowl. |
|
|

smooth top by tapping cup on counter or table top gently.
REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until set. | Top with desired garnish, cumbled nilla wafers, fruit bits, etc. and serve.
Store leftovers in refrigerator. |

As far as healthier as I stated above you can use all low fat, non fat, sugar free products or you can be indulgent.
