I have been dividing my time between moving and watching inauguration events to the extent that I haven't kept up with the local news and weather. The lowering sky this morning tells me I'd better pay attention because I still have boxes of books and other stuff outside waiting to be brought under cover.
The need to move came suddenly after a heavy snowstorm that badly damaged most of the ancient oak trees in the Horse Park where I lived in a trailer for over five years. I didn't have a clue that I would be moving until a large tree branch trapped me inside my trailer for 20 hours and the need to move became imminent. That's why there was no order or organization to my move. Now I have to straighten it all out, and find a lot of mislaid things including my box of new checks.
My neighbor, Ed, has promised to move the rest of the bulky things on his flatbed trailer on Wednesday, giving me Tuesday to devote to watch Obama's inauguration. After I get the books safely under cover today, I will look for a handyman to do the lifting for me on Wednesday.
I have the TV turned on beside my computer and a weatherman is rattling off the weather forecast. He is talking faster than I can comprehend what he is saying, but I see by the chart behind him that no precipitation is due here until Thursday. Good.
I have an article in the works, but probably won't be posting anything until later in the week. See you then. Hope you all have an enjoyable time tomorrow.

But we do talk on the phone and that's good.
Like you, I'm too busy to write much.
More later.
I hope you get things inside before the weather sets in - or you may have to tarp everything until later. I don't know what the weather will do here in Santa Barbara - so far it's warm and sunny! Salud
