For most of us today is a day off from work. For our country it is a day of tribute to a man who fought peacefully to unite this country from it's racial divides. Tomorrow a man of both races will become our president. He isn't just an African American nor is he just a Caucasian American...he is both...above all ....he is an American.
This country has made huge progress in the past century and that is something to be proud of. For myself personally I have the rainbow going on in my family and friends. We have got it all!
On other fronts....hey it has been a year since the first LIGHT investigation of The Jenny Wade House. It was a year ago today we had temps at -5 degrees(with windchills). I remember going out to my car and making that famous Salami roll and that man looking as if he was going to steal it! Time flies....as always.
Well my husband is home and is nagging me to leave..BBL

Dave is off today. We are going down to the Meadows casino for the day.
I hope you have a great day whatever you do.
I have 20 unread mails in Gather.
Thanks for the comment, hope you have a good day.
I was off work today. I watched a tape of the "I have a dream" speech with my niece. She can't understand segregation and says "yeah, I know it was like that back before the civil war." I don't think we should ever forget where we've been.
BTW Our family is a rainbow, too, and I love it. :)
True Amanda ..we should never forget. Most of today's kids really have no idea of what had been in our country.
I've got over 100 so far, but am working through them.
hope you have a good day today.
