I'm finally getting around to posting some of my holiday photos. Angela had to be down at the Cobb County Festival of Trees to help out with face painting. There were probably close to 50 large trees and 30 or so smaller trees that were decorated and donated by different organizations. The trees were judged, then all of them were auctioned off through a silent auction. Some of the trees had a "Buy it Now" price also.
Here are some of the little trees....(I didn't take photos of all of them)

This is the fire and police dept. tree.

Westerned themed.

This one was a baby/child themed tree...I think the hospital sponsored it.

I don't even know what the theme of this one is....it was just very shiny.

And a very blue one....

A more traditional country style tree in a bucket.

The one that you need sunglasses on to look at...but I think this is one that Phyllis would like. It's got all those pretty butterfies on it.

I have no idea who came up with the pink flamingo. It's not my kinda tree, but it did look really neat.
This other one is just a small traditional style tree. Nothing too exciting about it.

This is the Noah's Ark tree...I thought it was cute.
Now to some of the big ones....

The gambler's pair-a-dice (sorry, couldn't help it).

This was the first place winner in the big trees. I wasn't impressed with it...I mean it's nice, but I LOVED the second place winner.

Snow and snowman tree.

This one was of coarse the Hey Diddle, Diddle tree. I kind of like it.

This tree had a Movie Night theme...all the little kids were tempted to grab a box of candy off of it...(and some big kids too).

I'm not sure the them on this one...I did like the topper. It was unique.

The crossed candy canes make me feel like it's a tree that one would find in Who-ville.
The western 4-H tree. It didn't place. The blue ribbon under it is a horse show ribbon one of the kids won. The horses were all painted by the kids.

The gardening tree. This photo really doesn't do it justice. It was a really neat tree, full of different kinds of insect ornaments and garden tools.

Santa tree -- most of the ornaments were little santa's. You can see some of the others in the background....some were so tall, that it was difficult to get the whole tree in the shot.
Then there is my favorite, which I saved for last.

The photos don't do this one justice either. It was gorgeous!!! I love the circus type theme...and this was one of the few that was already sold.

The tree topper is so colorful, and I do like clowns.

A close-up of one of the ornaments. This ballet giraffe was so neat. I wish my photos could show all of the different items on this one.
These are just a few of the trees....Besides trees, there were wreaths competing also. I did like a few of those and will post the photos later.

how as the
environment
THANKS for posting them, Janet.
I like the traditional country one in the bucket too. It reminds me of the rosemary tree I decorated with the "deadheads" of my cone flowers (I sprayed them in pink, blue and antique white) and placed it in a galvanized bucket. I used it as my center piece on my kitchen table. (Stupid me forgot to take pictures of it) :O(
very creative ideas
