What movies have you seen lately and were they any good? What movies would you recommend?

In the past month, my husband and I have gone to see 3 movies.  The first was "Marley & Me".  It was a pretty good movie although not nearly as good as the book.  But the movie had a very sad ending and the sad part was drawn out too long and the movie ended with no hope for the future.  At least in the book it shows that the family is planning on getting another dog after Marley passed away.  Everyone I saw went home crying after the movie. 

Next we saw the movie "Four Christmases."  It was an okay movie but nothing to get excited about. It was cute in places.

Today we saw the movie "Hotel for Dogs."  It was a cute and entertaining movie that was suitable for kids to see.  It was funny in places and had a happy ending.  I would recommend it for kids and people who want a light-hearted feel good movie.

What have you seen at the theater and was it good or bad?  What movies would you recommend?  Thanks for your input.

THEY WERE GOOD MOVIES, I LIKE THEM ALL. I LIKE THOSE TYPE OF MOVIES.

Believe me Honey, in my entire life, it's a miracle if I could ever go to see a movie. Anyhow, in years, the last time I went to the cinema was last December 2008. I watch "Australia". To me it's beautiful because it's about my beautiful country. Hope you'll watch it too!

lets see we just went to see 2 movies the other night.
1. Yes Man w/ Jim Carey it was ok not your typical Carey funny guy type of movie, it kinda dragged on in places.
2. Bride Wars - loved it!!! 5 stars!! Awesome chick flic, hint to the guys my hubby even like it so just check it out!
thats all so far. We plan on checkin out Marley & Me, Paul Blart Mall Cop, Hotel for Dogs & there is one more but I cant remember it right now. Thank God my bff works at the movies & gets us in for free otherwise i'd have to wait till they came out on DVD.

I would recommend Gran Tourino. Both my husband and I enjoyed it.

Hi Janet,
I am not into going to the movies, but I do like watching movies at home. I have a cbale company that has free movies with no commercials, and I just watched a movie called Marvin's Room, it stars, Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton, Robert DeNiro and Leonardo DeCaprio.
It is about two sisters who haven't spoke in 20 years! very good movie, I recommend anyone who likes soft and special moment movies. A little cursing but a very good flick.

We don't go to the movies, I hate sitting that long in one place and the sound is so loud along with the cell phones and screaming babies. We rent now. We just saw the new Batman movie and that was really good. DH watched it twice.

Ariel, Gran Torino must have been good because when we went to the movies, that show was sold out way before it was due to start. It was the only sold out movie of 14 screens at the theater.

Nana, of the past 3 movies we've gone to in the last month there were no cell phone users and no crying babies--in fact no babies at all even in the afternoon.

I saw the new one with Brad Pitt and it was just ok. A little long and drawn out to be quite honest!

I wanted to watch Marley & Me maybe we'll rent it
We rented Mirrors and Step Brothers last night
A little scary but not enough and pretty funny, i guess
