I don't want to get dinged for copyright infringement... but basically what I got from this story is they want people to wait on eatting any peanut butter or products with peanut butter in it (Snack crackers etc.) until they can narrow down exactly where these illnesses are coming from. SCARY! I eat peanut butter every day! My cupboard is FULL of it! GRRR! Now what the fat am I supposed to eat with my apple a day?....

Thoughts anyone? On this or food safety in general. Are you concerned about the groceries in your house being contaminated?

typically I do not worry about the food I bring into my home, but I am cautious when warnings are put out. As far as what to eat on your apple, you can try making your own peanut butter, or I like American Cheese, but it has to be craft, weird I know, but try it it's good.

I have about 40 pks. of Lance Toast Chee here (that I bought at Costco 3 months ago) and 2 giant sized jars of Jif that I bought at about the same time (at Sams CLub). I have been eating from these pkgs for over a month and I am still kicking so I refuse to throw them out. :o)

I wonder if the whole peanut butter thing affects dog treats??
My dogs love their peanut butter flavored bones and cookies...

I bought a bunch of the snack crackers at Sam's and we have been eating them and fine.

I don't buy peanut butter or processed foods anyway so I don't have to worry.
I will however buy whole peanuts and make them into peanut butter or coat them with chocolate.
I love fresh peanuts.
