Police accused of spray-painting graffiti teens

MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) - Four teenagers say police in a northern Mexican town spray-painted their hair, shoes and buttocks to teach them not to paint graffiti on public property.

Emilio Alfaro of Nuevo Leon state's Human Rights Commission said Thursday the youths have filed a complaint alleging that police in Guadelupe slapped, kicked and painted them with spray cans after detaining them for vandalism.

I don't like seeing cops shoot innocent people, but slapping a couple punks around now and then, meh.  Tough love, stop vandalizing you little shit heads.

They should just lock them up in the jailhouse; that's enough to scare the crap out of any kid. Not the juvie hall, either; that's kindergarten. The regular jailhouse, so they can see where real criminals go when they do bad things. Then watch them do wrong the next time. It won't happen so fast. As it is now, they are in and out of juvie hall, and they think it's fun; I've worked in those places. They need a real jailhouse with bars. A slammer, if you will.

I saw a documentary the other day and in it they showed how the police acted towards immigrants in their country (coming to the us) and others in general, it's terrible.

It happened in Mexico laws are different there and the cops probably did the right thing. One thing for sure is that those delequants will not forget it soon.

I think Cops like to spray paint..My Mom married my Step Dad before xmas. His buddys got a hotel and partied the night before the wedding. When my step Dad passed out they spray painted one ball red & one ball blue, tied a yellow ribbon around his dingy and then called my Mom and told her where he was at. She laughed like hell..He on the other hand was not so happy... =) My step Dad was the Chief of police at that time. lol =p

Might have been a better lesson to give them soap& water, cleaning brushes and sandpaper to clean up the mess they made. A night or two behind bars doesn't seem to deter a lot of the "low mentality" types.

I do believe in allowing people to suffer the consequences for one's actions.
