I hit a Murphy's Law Wall

I wish could  take my socks off

And go out and run in clover

For this has been a heck of a week

And I hope for sure it's over

Monday Billy flew off in a plane

I was supposed to be alone and resting

But on Tuesday my daughter-in-law fell

And I flew off out of my nesting

Wednesday an appointment was made

For her to have her stitches removed

I was to ride in the ambulance with her

Got up early and that's not in my groove

I got there and she had a smile on her face

Said the doctor had canceled, an emergency

Made a new appointment for Friday at 11 AM

I had to change travel arrangements, quick with all urgency

Thursday it snowed again over night

And I sat and looked at my car all snowed in

I slept through most of the afternoon

Had to go to bed early, see my crazy grin

Well today I got up at eight

The middle of the night for me

And was over there at ten

Expecting to be home by three

Well, the ambulance driver came

Had to cancel, sent only one old guy

There was no way he could handle her

Threw my hands to the sky

So, I am out of the house anyway

I decided to go to the DMV and do my thing

My registration was up on Monday

Good I went , Monday closed for Martin Luther King

Now just a few minutes ago

My phone went ting a ling ling

She needs to make two more appointments

What will next week bring

This is my vacation

While Billy is far off and rested

So far it has been frustration

My patience is being tested

I think I should run away

Like I used to when I was younger

Not really go very far

Don't want to suffer from hunger

Tomorrows another day

And then there is another week

Hope it's nothing like this one

Or I'm playing hide and go seek
