Rainbows on the Go...

Hello!

Just wanted to check in and update you on our Rainbow Adventure...

In the past four days, I've seen, for the first time, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and Death Valley. What a study in extremes. The contrast was incredible.

My favorite of the three, amazingly, was Death Valley.

The sun shining on the rainbow colored mountains was simply stunning.

I can't wait to share my photos.

I am seeing rainbows everywhere... and think of you all each time I spot another...

We traveled part of the time on Historic Route 66.

What a trip down memory lane.

And yes, I got my kicks on Route 66... Lots of Burma Shave signs and vintage cars (waves to Gary).

It was fun.

Hope you're having fun wherever you are.. and staying warm. I must admit that I felt guilty, in my short sleeves, basking in the 75 degree sunshine in Death Valley, when I knew they had 25 below zero actual temps and -50 wind chill at home.

Later today, it's on to the beach... Cayucos - I can't wait!

Sounds like you are having a blast. I love road trips where you get to see so many different places. Enjoy the warmth, it's freezing here in upstate NY, as well as many other places!

I was truly enjoying your article until you said you were in short sleeves, 75 degrees and going to the beach......you are so bad Sherrie, -- so bad!!!! LOL

Sounds like you and your hubby are having a marvelous time.....enjoy each and every moment of it!!!! Take care and stay safe!!!!!

Route 66 is so much fun and the mountains are fabulous, good for you!! And now you know why we live here, it sure isn't for the summers, lol, it's for the winter tank top and jeans wearing weather!! =~D

I can't wait to see your pictures. It was 80 degrees here in Arizona today. It is hard to believe it is so bitter cold so many other places.

Oh yes I know what you mean! I've been to all the places you mentioned and this time of the year it's beautiful... not too hot and not too cold! Although it can get chilly in Nevada where you were visiting and the Las Vegas wind can chill you too. You were lucky, we had a warm spell in this area the last few days. Glad to hear you are having a wonderful time!
