Having studied O'Keefe extensively back at school, I can say that it is quite possible but not likely. O'Keefe loved her floral paintings; however, she mostly obscured the image to resemble the female form. Sure, she would have painted an orchid, but it wouldn't have looked like an orchid entirely. She'd paint a closer image of it if she did.
I haven't studied her or anything, but I have looked at a lot of prints of her work and it kind of looks like some of her flowers, but I don't remember seeing anything in that color.
