Busting with Pride

My daughter, Dakota was inducted into the Junior National Honor Society tonight.  I'm normally not a braggart, but I am so very proud of her.   I'm even more proud of her because she set the goals on her schoolwork herself.

Up until last year I had to make sure she did her homework.  This year she decided to become more organized so we made a deal.  If she did well the first quarter I would stop bugging her about schoolwork.  She has gone above and beyond what I was hoping for.  I can't put into words just how proud I am.

I was going to add some photos, but I seem to have misplaced my usb wire when I changed computers.  Probably put it someplace so I wouldn't lose it...lol.  Needless to say I will find it tomorrow.

That is great the ceremony was wonderful. You really get to see the bright future of America. Liz started there and is now Majoring in Microbiology with a minor in german and will be. It really does help spring them ahead.

That is really something to be proud of. My daughter struggles in school. But the other day she got 89% on a really hard test. So I bought her her favorite fast food McDonalds and a new shirt. I figured a little incentive might help when it comes time to study for the next test. She really studied hard, over 12 hours.

CONGRATS to you and your daughter! Its an achievement for you both!

'Congratulations on her achievement. Doesn't it make you feel so good when they do this on their own? You have a lot to be proud of. If she can set goals for herself and work towards them, she is a step ahead already.

Brag away...........................and keep bragging. It is one of the most wonderful feelings when our kids make us proud like this. I know I have one just like this. He made me worry for years about his scholastic achievements, now, he's my sunshine. Works hard, does extremely well, and is definitely on the right track.
