SCHOOL IS CLOSED - HURRAY

WOW not only is the school CLOSED, but it's being announced NOW already! Gideon did all his work today (4 sheets) so that he will not be behind the class. He did his numbers sheet BY HIMSELF and SELF CORRECTED his errors before I noticed them. This is the first time he has done this type of work and I'm so proud of him! :)

Every school in the state is closing... but with a HIGH of -3 you kinda have to.

So, Gideon did his work today, and he did a great job, too. The first time they have been asked to write almost all their numbers, and Gideon did it ALL RIGHT by himself, too!

I am in Michigan and I remember this kind of cold when I was a kid. We have much warmer winters now although it is really cold this week. We are starting to get that bitter cold that is roaring thru the midwest. Bundle up and make soup and hot chocolate!

Gideon's a smart kid! It would figure that there would be no school after him having done so much work lol, but at least he gets to play during his time off instead of worrying about homework :)

I don't think they go by temp here at all...and there has to be miles of snow to call a snow day, which doesn't do much good as it's usually only 1 day and then parents have to go out the next day in all of it to get the kids to school. It makes more sense to me to have the time off school in the winter and go in the summer. I think it's just too risky driving kids to school on ice.
