Happy Blues

All of the reasons, should and shouldn't do
Listed on criteria, easiest looks rather cool
So sorbet on a tray, switch on the news
Get entranced hypnotherapy, happy blues
And all of the should've, would've, could've, too
Like toys in Crackerjack box, twilight in bloom

Lessons in procrastination, TV screen taught thought
Countless mastication, follow movement, free or bought
Postponement eventualities, some a longer shift
Years have playbooks, certain determinational risks
Still the mind in countless passions, embrace the day
Embrace the evening, embrace, say mantra, melt away

Woeful understood, in silence tree not fallen
Stretch forth, many branches, Life's still callin'
And it's not blowin' in the wind of yesteryear
Winds bathe face, thankfulness, smiles and tears
Troubles come and go like yes and no
Some worry's increase, stealing a day from the soul

Sometimes comparison, paints a cloudy sky
Refraction of angle, an angel, modified reply
One hundred years ago, comfort never spent
Be thankful, be thankful, with joy repent
Silence is a sermon, silence fills up with peace
Tomorrow wants no part of misery fueled dreams
If unnecessary ...,
Keep the Joker guessing, smile, some laughing

It seems like you are giving examples of how we procrastinate in our lives but saying we should be thankful, embrace the moment and spend out times LIVING our life.

Too bad I'm so good at procrastinating. Frequently I use Gather to do it!

I used to get caught in the couldives and should haves. all the stuff from the past. but now for the last few years I just live the best I can and take care of George. I live everyday for that day. I am a lot happyer. Because I finally learned there is nothing you can do about the past.

Have you heard Manu Chao´s song, The Happy Blues, William? I think you´d get a kick out of it, and would like all his music. I enjoyed the message of this poem, which is essentially, don´t sweat the ´shoulds´in life and follow your natural path of least resistance, which is also your bliss.
