We live in a valley surrounded by hills and mountains. It is panoramic actually. In these photos I am starting on The Canyon Road which is a scenic route between Kittitas, and Yakima Counties.
Here the Yakima River is seen it's waters receded from the resent flooding. This is heading south from Ellensburg.

We just wanted to see how the river looked from here, so we turned around. The following two shots are taken on the same road heading north. That is the Stuart Range in the distance.

Next shots were taken at Frito Riot Pond near Ellensburg.
The Nanuem Canyon looking northeast, a favorite place to camp, fish, and hunt.

Looking north The Stuart Range. These are mountains the above was foot hills. In fact just in front of these majestic mountains is foothills.

Looking north Mt. Stuart partially covered in clouds.

Another shot of the Cascade Range looking north.

Looking east behind the barn is foothills.

The Nanuem Canyon beyond the pond.

Still looking east is the Whiskey Dick area foot hills and the wind farm.
A little more to the south but still east.

While heading for home on the Vantage Highway, when it is really clear out, you can see the top of Mt. Rainer. Notice it's white cap above the tree line on the distant hills. Just above the Kittitas County Fire Districts roof. If you can see it well enough you'll notice it's crater Mt Rainer is a dormant volcano.

The Cascade Range as see while heading west on the Vantage Highway looking northwest.

The foothills as seen from the west while heading west on University Way William says it Robertson Canyon I say it's the Teanaway. It's just beautiful either way.
