Update on my mom.

Hi there.  As some of you may know my mom had a heart attack in the fall of 2008.   She is doing so much better now.  It is hard being  8 plus hours away from where she lives but... she lives with my sister so that really takes some stress away.  If I could just get her to get off her butt and do some mild exercise she would be so much healthier.  Alas she tells me that our family only has room for one health nut and thats me so she will just keep to her routine.   I am so not a health nut.  I wish she would take better care of herself but as she says she is too old to change now and nobody can force her into it.  I will just have to rely upon my sister to make sure she takes her meds. and goes to her doctors appointments.  She is a stubborn old bat but I love her.

I'm glad she's doing better. I'm not one to care too much of the state of my health either, I'm afraid. I want to enjoy what I do have, and don't look much to the future. Perhaps she's like me. There are some of us still around, lol.

I'm glad she's getting better too. Is there a Curves near her. If so see if your sister can find a buddy for mom that goes there. The exercise program there is so easy anyone can do it and it is EXERCISE. At my Curves the average is above 50.

It is good to hear that she is doing better. Maybe by spring you or your sister can get her to take some walks. The fresh air and exercise will do her good.

I think my Grandfather had 5 heart attacks, My Grandmother had 3. My Mother had 3 and my Father died from the first one. I don't know if this helps you any but I think something like life alert mite be a good thing to have.

I'm glad she is doing better. Maybe you could get your sister to take her out for small walks. Or do some shopping (as a guise to get her walking a little bit!).

I'm glad she is doing better. I say, let her eat what she wants and do what she wants, you only live once and it isn't forever! So enjoy today, cause you might not have a tomorrow! But, yes, the meds are necessary and I'm glad your sister is there to help out!
