Think I'll kill myself with a sledgehammer, a nerf sledgehammer
Breaks
The failure of dreams
crash like waves
against great breaks of cliffs
forever, forever
taking, molecule
by molecule
the rocks away
Whiskey in the jar
Water under the bridge
Fate in the balance
Car in the garage
air in the tires
gas in the tank
ready to go
to heaven or
anywhere else
Taken by sword
Skewered by logic
by fact
Stunned by ennui
angst, strange phobias
severe apprehension
lost and immobile
nowhere to turn
Cannot get there from here
No return from nowhere
from lost
Ahh, the soft pain of sadness
almost comforting to sink
into the crush of woe
into the crashing waves
of the sea
of broken dreams
So worthless
So it goes
With joy so close
like breath on a mirror
fog on the ocean
Like the moment before
two magnets attract
or repel
like the moment
before
a kiss
Like silence
after
the rain

The poem was great.
Please forgive me and my stinkin' mouse.

Thanks to you, Norene.
SO, Entropy and ennui walk into a bar...
With joy so close
like breath on a mirror
fog on the ocean
Like the moment before
two magnets attract
or repel
like the moment
before
a kiss
Like silence
after
the rain
I've written poems that are mirror images of your words.
