'My heart's not into it,' musing from a list
Day of beauty and peace, Time released
For feeling blue sky up for today, yet chores
Things to do, get in my way
Cleaning must, make something complete
Trying to look respectable, steaming hot pot of tea
Windows reflect snow shining, ah sunny day
Looks rather cold, slept with my socks off
Wood floor sent message, my toes got
Cold, seek carpeting and slippers, feet embrace
Standing, looking over the wind swept plains
Lovely is the swing set, holding on, snow plays
Magic measures an experience or two, more
Sled rides, building snowmen and snowballs
Sometimes it got a bit out of hand, so what
Wishing for pleasant memories and dreams
Explore, restore and enjoy a big smile
You are you then, now and all in-between style
So many different various looks in a life
Pioneers dreaming in their fields of labor
Fineries of today never graced their table
Imagination, creativity, half bonkers
Simple pleasures, simple nature, simple wonder
There are missions, there are places, relax
One more thought here or there, seeking truth
All in all those who love God, know warmth begins
In caring, sharing, being all you can be, a friend
Opinions, maybe a different dialect, we're all to be
Our brother's keeper and our sister's too

It's snowing cats and dogs here, too.
I could write a poem about it but it really just makes me want to hibernate.
-5 is a little cold for palm leaves!!!

The winds in Nebraska are the bad part.
Palm trees and beaches do sound nice right now.
The other day as it was starting to melt, my almost 6 yr old grandson said in a plaintive voice, "I guess everyone forgot to build me a snowman." So I hope we get a little more snow so he can have a snowman.
