Just wanted to share something...

Hi everyone:

I just wanted to share an experience I just had here on gather. I was just checking a member's post she made to be entered into our daily raffle for members who help to promote our 'Guess What's In The Box' video. There were lots of members who said thanks for the info. But there was one particular "Ex-member" who commented that she was a member for a month, had five entry credits, never won, and quite.

I was sitting here trying to figure out how to respond without soiunding defensive. I felt terrible for the member who took the time to post about MCC and have someone leave a negative comment. I decided against reposding because I could not figiure out what to respond.

I decided to just say thanks to the member who made the original post and explained a little about MCC to the other gather members who read the original post. I typed at least a decent size paragraph and posted it. Just as I posted my comment, another MCC member had just posted a response to the negative poster explaining how we recently created our new 'hybernation system' and that things are much better now...

Anyway, I just want to say, That was an AWESOME and Inspiring experience! Even though the economy is pretty bad for most if not all, and we (at MCC) are working with absolutely no budget to keep the site going, these are the kinds of things that keep us running on empty. These are the kinds of things that let us know that we (MCC and its Members) are heading in the right dirrection. These are the kinds of things that let us know we are doing something right. These are the kinds of things that we really appreciate members doing to spread the word and help the site to grow.

The member who responded to the negative post did not HAVE to take her valuable time to respond to the post. She could have just went on about her day and never even bothered.

I want to personally say, You Guys are AWESOME and I Love You ALL!
