Surgery Update

On Dec 29, 2008 I had my Thyroidectomy. I went to the 1 week follow up with my surgeon, but he wasn't able to tell me much about my lab results. So I still don't know how big my mass was or what stage my cancer is in. This really bothers me. I have my 2 week follow up appointment with him tomorrow. I knew he still wouldn't be able to tell me anything, lets face it he is a surgeon and good at that. I scheduled an appointment with my endocrinologist for afterwards so I might actually find out some useful information. Wish me luck!

My Thyroidectomy was in 1990. I lost the Thyroid and all 4 Parathyroids to cancer. Actually, this is a slow moving cancer and easily treated. Treatment has come a long way over the past 19 years. Please send me a private message, I'd like to keep in touch and give some support if needed.

OMG, my heart goes out to you. How are you feeling now, phsyically? I have hypothyroidism, but not cancer of the thyroid. I did just recently have surgery for skin cancer, so I know the frustration there. I hope you get the answers soon.
