I like basketball players that play defense, play smart, hard, rebound and can put the ball in the hole. In a nutshell I like a total game. So here's my starting all time NBA 5. What do you think of this starting five?
Forward- Larry Bird, he hustled, rebounded and could hit that big game winning shots. Like all great players such as Dr. J and Michael Jordan, Larry wanted the ball at crunch time.
Forward- Dr. J (Julius Erivng) he was fast, quick and could jump to the moon but was also a great fundamental ball player. Dr. J got on the backboards, played great defense and was a prime time, big game player.
Center- Wilt Chamberlain, the only player to average 50 points a game in a season and score 100 points in a game.
Guard- Oscar Robertson, the only player to average a triple double an entire season. Double digits scoring, rebounding and assists.
Guard- Michael Jordan, he played defense, rebounded and after he get older and lost a half step came up with a deadly jump shot from the outside much like Dr. J did in his career. Plus he bulked up and could muscle his way for shots that he couldn't when young and skinny.
