Thomas, I appreciate the question. Honestly, I don't get into all that political and social issue stuff, there's just so many overhyped opinions out there as there is. I like to have fun and hopefully make people smile sometimes. Long as I do that, it's plenty enough gratification for me. Besides, as a humor writer the day you take a political stand is the day you've just alienated probably a good half of your audience, all things considered.

Hmmmmmmmmmm definitely gives me something to think about. I guess I really don't have political views on much of anything, because it only gives me a headache to think about why those things go the way they do. I don't get into government politics much, no matter who gets elected president, they're gonna screw it all up anyways, I really don't do football(It bores me to tears), abortion... that's another story... I'm on the fence there.. I do think it's wrong and should be illegal but there are special circumstances where I think it should be allowed(rape, serious birth defect where the family could not provide proper medical care for the child, or any other life threatening situation). The Iraq situation.. easy fix.. bring out boys home and let them figure things out on their own! It's not our job to run another country and make theirs better when ours is crap and falling apart! Federal Bailouts are a waste of this country's funds/resources.. they should have just divided that amount up between each legal household and sent US the money. There are enough families becoming homeless.. they don't need to be out buying a car or opening a bank account or getting a new mortgage.

I think that pretty much sums up my points of view....

Ann, you know, in the end I'm just saying what all that political commentator long-windedness ends up getting around to, and that's that these type subjects are controversial and people's opinions are all over the place. Takes 'em a long time to get to that point with it most times, too. I think my article is kinda like politics without all the foreplay....
