Sorry that all you are getting are photos right now, but as I said, I have a 2,000 word story due by Monday morning, New Zealand time. I did manage to spend some time zipping around Penang on a moped (no water buffaloes around these parts) and I visited a few pretty interesting sights. A went back to the Tamil Temple, this time I went around to the front. The photos are pretty nice, especially with my new lens, which allows me to get some nice close ups. I also visited a Cantonese House and took lots of people photos. The zoom lens allows me to take great shots without it being so damned obvious I am taking a photo of the person. And I shot a few more silly signs.
Here are some of the shots I like the most:
An Osama bin Laden look alike. (And this is not my label, this is what the locals call him.)
Finally, this Tri-shaw. Just a nice look.
You can see them all here.

Sky Hotel: Please Do Not Spit...Hilarious! I wish it said that on my hotel sign, people always spit while they're outside smoking :(
There was a mailbox in Montreal painted with Ganesha on it. On the entire door that the mailbox was on.
Featured in the Triple Name Club.
Bhawana will also be very interested.
That is a pretty amazing Ganesha. The temple guardians do a great job, I would not go near the temple out of fear.
Those two men look very old, likely older than they really are.
I can see why the Osama look alike is so labeled.
Loved that hotel sign.

I just wanted to stop by since I am finally going through what is now listed as under 5,100 pieces of gather new mail that is sitting in my inbox on here.
With that mentioned I just came across either a mailing from you yourself, or someone else brought this piece to my attention. You or they felt that your creation should be shared with the gather community, which I am very glad that it was passed on to me to view. So I wanted to say Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to publish it here on gather for us to all view. :o)
As well before I leave you I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year... in 2009 :o)
A 10 for you!
Safe travels!
