Thoughtfully thinking, peace is not just a nice thought or a quiet life.
Peace is a active word that provides and provokes - action and reaction. Peace comes through effort. Our own human efforts. No matter where we are living, what we may be doing ... if we really desire peace we will find it.
If we lack peace, it is usually because of sufferings, fear,s or someone else's actions toward us that have been injurious. Peace can seem to allude us at times if we are mentally distraught and stressed in body or soul.
If we say we have peace, why? Where does it come from? For what reasons? Can we have peace and see the rest of the world at war and in tremendous turmoil?
I was once told if I wanted peace, I would have to BE peace. That seemed to ring a clear bell within my spirit. Which also, after much consideration, meant a life's work was involved. Hence a personal Peace Movement, played out day by day, moment by moment, action by action, thought by thought.
God help us all to BE the peace we really want to see in life ... today!
Where do think?
