Who is your favorite current-day rock and roll artist?

I love music. Some of my favorite music categories are: classical, Christian, rock and roll, country, jazz, and bluegrass. But I'm not too up on the current day top rock and roll artists. I don't listen to radio stations too much, don't care for all the commercials. Would rather put on a good CD. Thus the reason for this post. Finding out who your favorites are will give me some artists to check out.

So, who is your favorite current day rock and roll artist and why?

I love all kinds of music but as you probably know already, country is my favorite. I have several favorite artists so here is a few of them. When it comes to Rock & Roll my favorites are: Nickelback, Hinder, Daughtry, & Aerosmith. My favorite country music artists are Eric Church, Shooter Jennings, Toby Keith, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Ashton Sheppard, Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley. I don't listen to alot of pop music but I do like Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado & Rihanna. I listen to quite a bit of oldies music to. I love Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Four Seasons, & The Beatles.

I dont' care for the mainstream music played on the radio--my faves are of the electro/industrial genre. Right now that would be Apoptygma Berzerk, from Norway, Rammstein, Germany, and In Strict Confidence, Germany also. I like these bands because they are different from the same-old, same-old on MTV and the like.

Fraid I can't help. I love classical and classical sacred music. I love Charlotte Church and the Three Tenors, and now there is a new group, The Priests, some Irish fathers wo sing Irish ballads and sacred Latin hymns. As for rock and roll, I love the 1950s nd 1960s, and don't even know the names of current stars.

To be honest, I pretty much just listen to Christian music, unapologetically. It depends on how one defines Rock, I guess. Switchfoot I guess. My faves aren't usually classified as rock: Casting Crowns, MercyMe, Third Day.
