In these early days of the new year, and after celebrations and joy of meatings with beloved people give place to reflection, I can see two great wishes in my heart.
The one, is for the world, not to get involved in attacks and counter-attacks, in greediness and intollerance. Live and let live is a very wise principle.
The other wish is for myself, to get the chance to live and create in California so that I can be listed among the women painters of this blessed area of our earth. The reason is that if I look at my paintings and then at those of other contemporary artists, the style and colour I see, it's most like the Californian one ...

How do you feel about the art of the desert Southwest? Have you noticed how different the light looks in those paintings? (White as opposed to yellowish for the old masters).
I have a friend who paints in Santa Fe. She primes her canvas with red!
If you've never been to Santa Fe, I hope that you see it someday. I have heard that it's now the second-largest art market in the world. For me, it's like stepping into heaven.
W evisited in 2008 some of our old european etapes, this new year we had a long festivity with my son, and now, hopefully we are ready to fly, at least for a little while to NY in the spring an dto LA in autumn, and perhaps more ...
