I sure wish I had an orange tree in the back yard, but the next best thing is the best and sweetest Florida oranges from Publix.

For the past couple of weeks, my family has gone through many pounds of oranges, and they really are addictive. Last week the grocery splurge were fresh local strawberries, and they sure tasted great as well.
This is our favorite after-school snack.

Of course our little garden is also showing signs of summer, as our herbs are doing great and we even have a few green tomatoes.

When do you start planting your summer garden?

I just bought a big bag of oranges for snacking
I'd also like to plant a few grape vines, and strawberry plants.

My garden died with the first frost, lol. I just have dried tomato and pepper plants now.
I don't have a summer garden, because rather than a green thumb, I have the black thumb of gardening DEATH. I kill all plants I try to make... :(
jealous I want some oranges and strawberries. I am craving them right now and I pull up Gather and what do I see.
Well eat some for me.
I went just to the Publix today and see those strawberries and I didn't get them as I though they won't be so good, but now you told me, I am going to get them. So thanks for reccomendation
Dagmara, I am always skeptical about the strawberries, as I was very disappointed, when we lived in New Jersey. They tasted of nothing. I have learned to smell my way to the sweetest ones though, but sometimes it is still a miss. The local ones are usually pretty good though.
Carla, I bet Elliott would love to garden with you guys. We do lots of experiments, just to see how everything turns out.
Yours is wonderful.
