A few weeks ago, I reported that the plant I call my Friendship Plant was getting ready to blossom, which I had never seen it do. I posted photos of it at the time, and promised more when it actually bloomed. It has done so. Unfortunately, I'm off today and able to take photos today, but there are two problems:
1. It isn't blossoming any more... at the moment, though there are still many blossoms forming.
2. I can't seem to figure out how to do a macro with my camera, even though I've done it before. And since the "stalks" the blossoms form on are several feet long, I can't seem to do an adequate photo. But here are a few, anyway.
It used to be a fascinating plant which captivated me with it's asymmetry and photosensitivity. It has become somewhat awkward, gangly and unattractive in the past few months, but I continue to be intrigued, all the same.

Note the stalk growing out of the middle of the plant. I watched as one of these stalks formed in three other segments of the plant as well, and then they all just kept growing, and growing...

The dog, looking extremely neglected now that his mother is working and doesn't have time for brushing, had to get into this next shot. He looks as unattractive as the plant does, here, but I wanted to show you just how odd this plant looks as it continues to grow...

The actual blossoms are very tiny, and white. Held between my forefinger and thumb is one small cluster, on which there were about twenty blossoms, yesterday. Though tiny, the flowers are very aromatic, and have a gardenia-like fragrance.
I'm hoping for one thing; that, by the time it blossoms again, I'll have figured out again, how to do a macro of these delightful little things. I really hope you will forgive the bad photos here!

I wish I could offer advice, but my thumb is not green.
a speck of green on my thumb.
The dog is just adorable.
As for the M for macro... it's there, but for some reason, it's not working. I can't seem to adjust the brightness at all, so the photo ends up either white or black, and editing it makes a cool picture but it doesn't look like the plant. :(
