Hubby called today, and we mainly talked about our housing situation once he gets off house arrest after his release. Apparently, this whole cider business/house is not going to fall through like I was so excited about. They are asking WAY too much for it, and we just refuse to get in so much debt so early in our new life...
So, plan B has been revealed to us! I swear, when God closes one door, another door is opened! His mom has offered her house to us! This isn't just any house, it is a 3-bedroom, fully renovated home on the same property as her own house!! Currently, her husband, Herb, lives there for privacy reasons (I guess?), but he has offered to move out so that we can move in! RENT FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How could we possibly turn that down? It will be 5 minutes from the kids! It is convenient to so many work options. It is a beautiful little house on acres of wooded property in south Jersey. :) Now I'm excited all over again! How great will it be for us to start out again with NO DEBT, NO RENT, NO CAR PAYMENTS, and a great place to live!!!
Hubby is doing well, and not as anxious or stressed out as he was a month or so ago. He has a job on the inside, and he says that it helps time go by much faster. I have plenty of work to do out here, and a new apartment or townhouse to get in a new state in just a couple of months to prepare for his release! I'm hoping that spring comes quickly, because this winter weather is for the birds!
I was able to lower my cable bill AND my electricity bill enough so that they are much more affordable each month! Yay me! I made a spinach quiche last night, and it has fed me for two days and has been absolutely DELICIOUS. :)
I hope all of my Gather friends are having a great evening. I'm off to do some ChaCha. Hopefully I can make enough to buy the Eclipse book or refill the phone account for hubby. Otherwise, I'm just muddling through life... maintaining.
What is everyone else doing tonight?

I am busy cleaning the house in preparation for for Art's mom and 2 of his 5 sisters to visit. I have never met any of them, so to say that I am freaked doesn't quite cut it. I am just trying to keep my mind busy and not think about it.
Back to cleaning.....
