New Stove

My friend just bought a new stove for his basement.  It’s really sweet, and I didn’t even know these kind of stoves existed.  It’s a traditional wood stove.  It’s a wood pellet stove.  It has this giant hopper attached.  You feed in a bag of wood pellets and an auger feeds the burning pot at a speed determined by how high you have the heat set on.  Apparently, the wood pellets burn much cleaner than normal wood and hotter too.  His basement was previously useless in the winter because they have an older house with baseboard heating upstairs.  Now, it opens up a whole new part of the house. 

It was basically his Christmas present.  While other people wanted a new Mcklein briefcase, iTunes gift cards, Marine Corps rings, or a Wii, he asked for a stove.  He’s very practical and loves functional gifts. 

Stoves like these seem to be in high demand.  Gas prices are soaring and so more and more people are looking for an alternative way to heat their homes.  This is certainly it.  Companies like these should take advantage of the situation and create the wood pellet fuel needed.
