I decided to write a quick review of my newest scent addition to the home. Febreze Scentstories has been around a few years, sold everywhere from the local Rite-Aid to Wal-Mart. I always wondered how they worked since I am a huge fan of all things pleasantly scented, so when drugstore.com had them on sale online for $12.97 for the Frebreze Scentstory player and a scent disc, I caved and bought one.
So far I like it. The Febreze Scentstory player is a small modern-looking air machine that plays scent discs (sold seperately). A slight breeze of scent blows out of the top front of the player to add scent to the room. There are 3 settings for the scent level.
The Scentstories player makes a very quiet breeze-like noise while it plays, sort of like a low hum. White noise basically. It is not intrusively loud like my small air cleaner.
Each Scentstory disc is a collection of 5 scents. Each scent is played for 30 minutes each and the player rotates the scents automatically. Allegedly each disc will last for 30 rotations. The total time for a "scentstory" is 2 1/2 hours.
I picked up some Yankee Candle Scentstory discs during their sale and they seem slightly stronger than the disc that came with the player.
Febreze Scentstory would be ideal for a smaller room, office, or bathroom. I actually have mine in the kitchen right now but ideally it would be nice at work.
Right now the best place to buy a Febreze Scentstory is drugstore.com or Wal-Mart. Overall, I am enjoying the different scent infusions in the air. I smell MacIntosh apples at the moment...
