I thought this an interesting entry in my calendar. I remember so many times hearing that the Republican Party was the party of fear for the very statement that is attributed here to Clinton. Hmmmm...

Ironic, inconsistent, but Hillary Clinton probably hasn't spoken on the basis of conviction since she first ran for a senate seat. Like her husband, she'll say whatever she thinks will play with the public at the time. OK, OK, that's my opinion, OK?

Sen. Hillary Clinton makes disparaging remark about spiritual leader Mahatma Ghandi, saying, "he used to run a gas station down in St. Louis." Clinton later apologizes calling the mark, "a lame attempt at humor."
