SEVERE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY: another 12" - 18" of snow by 10am tomorrow morning!

My son had school yesterday, was the first day of school since December 18th!  School was CLOSED today and it's already been confirmed that school is CLOSED again tomorrow!

This severe winter weather is giving us fits!  They are concerned about the weight on the roofs of the schools and are having them shoveled off and inspected.  However, atleast by having schools closed, I know my son is safe at home with ME and I don't need to wory about the roof of the school caving in or anything. :)

 We already have over 4' of snow standing in our yeard, can't see our fence and have to keep our 3 dogs in the house! UGH!


We are currently under another winter warning: 

  • A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY where we are suppose to get an additional 12" - 18" of snow by 10am tomorrow morning!

 

The Flood Warning has been lifted, it didn't rain and the snow isn't melting either!

Wow, Bridget...I can't even imagine that much snow! It sounds dangerous with the danger of weight on the roof and such. Be careful!

We got ice. Thankfully it didn't stick on the roads this time. While we were in Phoenix for Christmas, they got ice here again. My brother in law hit a patch of ice and hit a man that had gotten out of his car and was walking on the interstate.

must be getting messy in the house with the dogs in the house. Don't want 4' of snow here. Hope it doesn't come this way. HOPE YOUR ROOF DOESN'T CAVE IN. ONLY HAVE ABOUT 3 INCHES ON OURS. The kids going to have to makeup the missed days of school in the summer? Seems like they would be God given days.

I've spent several hours out raking the snow off the edges of my house and hot tub gazebo. Such fun having it cascade down in your face.

My son in law is getting off work early to come and help me. It only rained lightly for a while. No winter storm advisory over here.

Bridget---you are getting way more snow than we are, but it has been s-o-o-o cold here in the central Idaho mountains. Some people say it's been too cold to snow. But I hear it's heading our way, so I have my snow shovel handy! Stay warm and safe. Cheers!
