What's the big deal about the Twilight series?

My daughter hates to read. She has been going through Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series books at a rate of a book every other day. She is obsessed with these books to the point that she is having withdrawals waiting on payday to buy the next book.

Have you read the books? Do you like them? Have you seen the movie?

I must live under a rock. I've never heard of the books or the movie. I'll have to add the books to my list of things to look for at the library to see what they are about.

Morning KD. My cousin told me about them and I read the first one. She is bringing the rest of them over or me this week. Though the stories are supposed to be for young adult's, a lot of adults are reading it. It's a love story vampire style. I actually enjoyed the story line in the first book. It's all the rage here and the books are reserved in the library forever.
I haven't seen the movie but would like to. My son read a review by a 40 year old man who said he actually enjoyed it. He had a few minor criticisms but thought over all it was good flick. I forget what site he found that on.

At this point, just be glad she found something she likes to read!!!!

The books are very popular right now with teens. I read all of them and saw the movie. I liked it.

My teen daughter is reading them- she says they're very good. I have heard from others and read reviews of the movie that were less than flattering.

My daughter will be 26 in February. So, yes, I am THRILLED she is reading. I have the first one sitting in front of me now. I'm planning on trying to start reading it today. I'll post a review of the book on gather when I finish reading it.

My brother and dad saw the movie and we began listening to the series on audiobooks when driving for the holidays. The plot seems okay, but we did not even finish the first one before we switched it out for Harry Potter Book 6, so my dad could then listen to Book 7, which my brother got for Christmas.

Saw the movie, it was okay. Started the book and didn't get interested until yesterday. Now I see what the big deal is. And I'm old!
