We're No Longer Strangers
© Robert C Burnham
We're no longer strangers you and I
You've made me laugh
And I've made you cry
We've already thrown our friendship away
But that was yesterday and I am here to stay
We've already shared a few fights
Now I'm thinking we should share our nights
I would be your torch and you, my light
We've already tossed our hearts away
Maybe it's time we hold hands and stay
We've already told each other goodbye
But I'm ready to be your earth
Do you think you could be my sky
We've both shown each other we can walk away
This time let's show ourselves we can stay

Good poem, Roberto. :-)
What was that I wrote a while back about hearts? A hurt heart is a used heart? Or something like that. Hearts are made to love and heal. Isn't it awesome how just one of our pieces can do and feel so much? It's how we deal with the pain that makes us who we are.
Like Lewis....I like the bears. :-)
