Hubby's Boss' Yacht SANK!

My husband's boss was on vacation in Mexico for a couple weeks.  They just got back over the weekend.  They knew we had gotten a LOT of snow while they were gone, so they went to the lake to check on their boat/yacht. 

Their boat is 13' wide and 40' long.  So big that they have to keep it in the water throughout the year.  They have to hire a crane and truck to move it, so it's easier to keep it in the water.  So many people do the very same thing!

Well, when they got their - the boat was completely under water!  It SANK!  They had insurance on it, but still!  It's a $120,000 boat.  What a terrible way to start off the New Year.

Oh, wow! My step-mom had a boat just a little bit smaller than that and a total sinking would definitely destroy it with all the electronics, etc, in the cabin.

Sending 10 laughs for leaving it in the water. Boats that size get pulled out, racked, winterized, and shrink wrapped for winter. ($800=$2000) Every year you own it. Or buy a lift. That's an extra price you pay for the life of luxury. Not too long ago it was probably $4,000 to fill the tank. Take the money and run.
