Come on, admit it. You'll miss the Bushisms.
- "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." - Aug. 5, 2004, at the signing ceremony for a defense spending bill.
Yeah, George, I'd say you really outdid our enemies! You won that one, big guy!
"Too many good docs are getting out of business. Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country." - Sept. 6, 2004, at a rally in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
You know, if the law would just let them practice a little more love, maybe the cost of heath care would go down!
"I remember meeting a mother of a child who was abducted by the North Koreans right here in the Oval Office." - June 26, 2008, during a Rose Garden news briefing.
Good God! And what the Secret Service doing when this happened?
"It would be a mistake for the United States Senate to allow any kind of human cloning to come out of that chamber." - April 10, 2002, at the White House, as Bush urged Senate passage of a broad ban on cloning.
You know, on that, we agree. (what would happen in Harry Reid's DNA got mixed up with John McCain's?)

And not only am I from Texas (now) but Illinois (growing up) all folks slip YUP! or YEP! :-)
Which actually makes 2004 worse... having had a manifest, utter incompetent foisted upon us by the Supreme Court, a narrow (in all senses of the word) majority actually revisited that on us.
Obama's not a saint, nor a savior, nor a quick fix for any of the problems that have been created in Washington over the last eight years. However, he has to be an improvement over "Government of the special interests, for the special interests, and by the special interests" which has been the Republican mode of governance since Reagan if not before.
