I saw two films this week that might interest some Gatherites.
1. Man on Wire - I watched this documentary because one day I heard three different radio critics rave about how good it was. Short version - it is about a French fellow who walks on a wire between the New York Twin Towers in 1974. He also walks on other spots around the world. This is all illegal so sneaking onto the spots is a big part of the story. I would not give it a rave, but it is very interesting if you like learning about unusual people.

2. Danny Deckchair - This is a comedy, not a documentary though many people have actually done what the fictional Danny does - takes flight away from his backyard barbecue and ho hum life by attaching lots of helium balloons to a lawn chair. Danny's adventure is very entertaining and well done. It will require no heavy lifting by your brain.

Think Danny is all right for kids. Would not show them Man on Wire.
