What took place after my daughters haircut!

I wrote an article earlier today with pictures of my daughter getting her haircut. We wanted to get it trimmed up, because she was having a birthday party the following day. (That post will come soon. I have been busy with the kiddos all day, and just now got them to sleep.)

When we were leaving the beauty salon, the hair dresser gave both of them a sucker. It had warmed up to almost 55 degrees that day and there was a little piece of green grass just outside the salon with a GIANT rock that attracted my kids. Normally there     is snow/ice on the ground during this time of year. I decided to let the kids run and play for a while. Also, like a good gatherer I had my camera ready in the car. I had to snap those photos to remember these times. They are growing up way too fast.

Here is Maddie cheezing it up for the camera. I think she felt really happy to get her new hair cut.

Aidan is really happy too. He got a sucker and didn't even have to get his hair cut.

         Both of them had come across a gigantic rock in the yard outside the salon. I love the looks of excitement on their little faces in this photo.

   He's happy to have found this big mountain of a rock. Notice the little man in his hand. He's been carrying it everywhere lately. To bed, to daycare, to the hair appt.

    Just a funny little smile next to the rock. I love watching their eyes light up with wonder even at the simplest things. Sometimes they help me to see something as if I am seeing it for the very first time.
