The Happening

 I watched this movie this movie this afternoon on 1/4/09. It is a thriller from M.Night Shyamalan. It is about a deadly virus that threatens to wipe out the northeastern part of the United States.

The cast in this movie is Elliott Mooore played by Mark Walberg. His wife Alam played was played by Zoey Deschanel and John Leguizamo and Betty Buckly co-star.

They fight to survive and discover the truth : is it terrism, the accidental release of a weapon, or something more terrifing?

 

This movie to me was alright but kind of weried also. I mean when the main cast went outside they were alright but others were in danger. I thought it was sort of scary due to the fact that it was happing in a part of the country where I live. Other then that it wasn't that great of a movie to me. I might watch it one more time before I send it back to Netflix.

I am doing alright Sandra right now anyhow. A little leg pain but nothing unusal for me. Yeah this movie was good but some of it didn't seem right to me.

I love Shymalan movies and I have never even heard of this one!! I cannot wait to see it, so thanks for telling us about it. I always look for M.Night's cameo appearance (he does a small role in every movie he makes) - what was it in this one? Probably someone who died in the first 5 minutes!

I didn't catch the cameo on this one. I'd have to watch it again -- and as it is I'd like the hour and a half of my life back it took to watch the movie the first time.

I saw it in the theater and liked it. I wasn't really scared, but moreso freaked out by the thought of it happening. You should have seen us walking by the trees on our way out of the theater! lol

I understand Cournty. When the part where they showed the news and then it had Jacksonville , Fl I was scare. I live like 2 hours from there. I go to see my nerologist there. So i agree that part is scary.

I liked it. Granted, it wasn't his best film, but I enjoyed it. I usually only watch a movie once when I rent it anyway. But a lot of people who have seen it tell me they really didn't care for it. I kind of thought the ending was a bit too "neat", but I still liked it.

Yeah it was alright Amber. He's best to me was The Sixth Sense. This is the second movie that I have seen of his that I Know of anyhow.

I like suspense thriller, but not necessarily weird. Not a big fan of M Night Shamalyn (or whatever his name is). I liked 6th Sense that he did, but that was the only one of his I like. The rest seem to be too weird and out there for me!

I'll have to look for this one. I think there was one by the same title back in the '60's (remember the Supremes song?) but I guess it was about gangsters or something? I really enjoyed 'The Sixth Sense' but haven't seen much of his other works. Seems like he did something for TV once, but it could have been better. Still I tend to gravitate to anything unique or different. Thanks for posting this!
