I got to talk to the hubs three times yesterday! He sounds like he is doing good and feeling positive about the new year. We learned a little bit more about the house in south Jersey, and it sounds like the business only makes about $30,000/year profit. We were hoping that it was a little more than that since the mortgage would be so high. The couple selling that house must be crazy for the amount of money they want for a 1/2 acre of property and a business that wouldn't even pay the mortgage for the amount they are asking for the property and house! I know they want a nest egg for their retirement, but NO ONE is going to buy that property for that amount of money in this economy.
Hubby said that if this opportunity doesn't pan out for us, then it must be meant to be and we are meant for bigger and better things. I am so proud of him for having such a positive outlook! His mom is going to continue to do some research into the property for us, but we will keep our options WIDE open at this point.
I'm a little worried about money this month. Because of the holidays, I missed out on some work and the ChaCha questions weren't coming in as fast either. I'm really hoping to cash out here on gather for $50 as soon as possible to help me out with groceries. Things are so tight right now without the hubs to help me. :( I'm sure lots of other people can relate, though. It seems like EVERYTHING is more expensive lately. My electricity bill was outrageous this past month! I enacted a rule to keep the heat at 68 degrees and for it not to be moved EVER. I'm turning off lights and unplugging things like crazy. I just can't believe the electricity rates are so high!
This too shall pass, though. I hope that nothing gets turned off this month and that I get everything paid and up-to-date. My rent is more than half paid already, so that is a big relief.
So, basically this week will be busy with a lot of work to do. I'm really looking forward to spring and getting out of the house more!

Keep Hanging!
I was wondering if this couple is going to show you how to produce the cider and be around for later questions. The loss of a large batch of cider, could be very costly.
I am glad that we live in CA, our bills are pretty low since we don't have to use the heater or anything. Then again, homes cost an arm and two legs here, even with the crash of the real estate market.
I'll talk to him more about it tonight, and I will keep you all updated! :) Thanks for all the well wishes!
Keep up on the positive attitude girl!
I understand completely about the bills, winter is the worst month for bills! I skipped a few to get through Christmas. Now, I got to play catch up.
Everything happens for a reason, that is what they keep telling me!
