5 years ago today, Charlie, the dog in my avatar was born, along with three of my other dogs. Charlie was first born and arrived in this world about 5-10 minutes before my father passed away. It was a sad day because I lost my father but Charlie gave me something to hold on to. I believe he was a gift from my father. Sadly, Charlie left this world in October of 2006.
So here I sit remembering my father and Charlie. Its hard to believe that its been 5 years already. I will probably sit here a bit longer and maybe shed a few tears. Then I will think of my other dogs who also share this birthday. Tom will be making them a cake(no frosting) and we will celebrate their birthday with them.
Some people think I am crazy for having so many dogs( I have 6) but I can't imagine life without them. They bring me so much joy. Yes, they are a lot of work but the benefits are priceless.
I hope you will join me in wishing a Happy Birthday to Moose,Lily and Bandit.

6 dogs? Wow. Hope you live in the country where they have room to run and play.
My condolences for your sadness of 5 years back. It is tough to loose a loved one, human or otherwise.
I would be very sad if my Wofenhauser was gone.
We hada dog too that died around the same day my dad died, within a few days.
He is also gone.
