JustMe posted a lovely poem today http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977552151 that reminded several of us of Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi", so I thought I 'd post another Joni favorite. I had just moved to Montreal not long before and this was my all time favorite song for a long, long time.

It's a beautiful song. Judy Collins does a lovely version of it too, but I'll always think of it as Joni's.

Joni is one of my husband's favorites. I haven't heard this in awhile and we both just enjoyed it so much - thanks for posting this! I'll go check out the poem...

Good music, good writing is timeless. I was too young for the hippie thing, but I still appreciate some of the great music that came out of that time.

I really like this song - but I have to admit I'm only familiar with the Judy Collins version. I enjoyed this, though, thanks!

Judy Collins does a lovely rendition of the song too, but Joni Mitchell wrote this song.
